About

Hi! I’m Karen McDonnell.
This blog will mostly be about Reading and Writing: in the immortal line of the Bee Gees – ‘Words are all I have’. Ahem. Of course, dealing in words means the subject matter has no limits. Some days I will share my own work, other days… who knows. Stick with me – I’m new to this blogging world and I’d be delighted to have your company.
A Bit About Me:
I’m a writer and voice-over artist. I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth – The Burren, in north County Clare (Ireland).

I am owned by Bessa; aka Cat. When not at her beck and call I am in NUI Galway, where I’m working hard for a BA in History, Classics, and Writing. My most recent travels have been to the Near and Middle East, and North Africa.

I cannot live without music, books, food, and my friends.
I love the Oxford comma, Ernie & Bert, bacon butties, Cat, the sea, and all things French.

My secret vice? Playing music really loud in Mighty Aphrodite, the Blue VW Polo, as we criss-cross the Burren. Beep-Beep.

Karen, love the hairdo…you look wonderful…looking forward to reading the blog

    • Ta! Hope you enjoy it – all comments gratefully received! As for the hair: would I could get it to stay like that. It’s blowing a westerly gale out there at the moment and there are warnings of tidal surges. That’s living on the Atlantic Edge for ya!

  2. Dearest K, I’ve nominated you and your blog for the Liebster Award for blogs with under 200 followers. The award aims to help your readers and other bloggers get to know you! If you want to participate please read my post here: https://buchaillbusan.wordpress.com/2015/04/29/and-the-award-goes-to/
